From 2017 through 2019, the PUCO’s conducted a review of the latest in technological and regulatory innovation that could serve to enhance the consumer electricity experience. Through this series, the PUCO held three educational workshops intended educate the PUCO staff and commissioners as we look forward for future grid modernization projects, innovative regulations and forward-thinking policies.
Over 100 experts were invited to present to the Commission on a wide range of topics related to smart grid or advanced technologies. Every minute of this endeavor is available to view on the PUCO's YouTube channel.

Collaborative reports
The Commission established a collaborative group of stakeholders, as well as two technical work groups related to distribution system planning, and data access. Reports produced by these groups are available in PUCO dockets 18-1595-EL-GRD, 18-1596-EL-GRD, and 18-1597-EL-GRD.
