File GPS annual reports electronically in the PUCO Community
Case No. 23-002-PL-RPT directs all gas pipeline operators to file a 2022 Gas Pipeline Safety annual report by March 30, 2023. Pursuant to R.C. 4905.92, all pipeline operators, including natural gas companies, pipeline companies, master-meter system operators, municipal corporations, and cooperative associations, when engaged in supplying or transporting gas by pipeline in the state of Ohio, are required annually to report the prior year’s total throughput of gas, in thousands of cubic feet (Mcfs), supplied or delivered in the state and to pay the gas pipeline safety (GPS) assessment. To file, please use the PUCO's web-based filing system, the PUCO Community to submit the throughput report as well as add the additional required forms.

Access the Mandatory Reports filing in the PUCO Community.

Complete your GPS report filing. Each reporting company is requested to verify and update the fiscal contact, who will receive and have authority to pay the annual fiscal assessment invoices and enter throughput numbers.

Upload all files (supplemental documents) required of your operating type. See required supplemental documents section below.

Verify and submit your GPS annual report. Once you submit, you will receive an automatic acknowledgement by email.

How to edit or amend the GPS Report
You may edit a submitted GPS annual report at any time prior to the filing deadline. After the deadline, the edit button will no longer be available and you must contact the Gas Pipeline Safety team at gps3@puco.ohio.gov to request to file a late report or amend a previously filed report.
Gas Pipeline Safety annual assessment
The PUCO will invoice operators required to file under R.C. 4905.92 on or before the first day of October each year, and each operator will have thirty days after the date the notice is given to pay the assessment to the commission.
